As an intern on the Transportation team, you will support key members of the team and be involved in bridge layout, design, and construction support while gaining professional and technical development opportunities.

Responsibilities
Bridge layout using Microstation and AutoCad and to perform day to day tasks
Bridge design and detailing, report writing and estimating, following the phase I-VI NYSDOT design process
Work closely with senior engineers
Occasional field visits and/or construction support
Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards
Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering, or another related field
Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Completion of sophomore year preferred
Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus
