The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is looking for a full-time Systems and Network Administrator. This position is responsible for managing the infrastructure for servers and networks, including advanced technical services, firewall management, and providing support for the colleges' infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Managing the infrastructure for servers and networks
Managing firewalls, Nutanix and VMWare environments, and networks
Serving as the lead technical resource to the Systems and Network Infrastructure Manager on the design, creation, implementation, upgrade, management, advanced troubleshooting and technical support for the colleges infrastructure
Assisting in the development of information technology plans for the college and MCCS Information Technology Services
Working with faculty and staff to determine future needs
Consulting with the Systems and Network Infrastructure Manager and Associate Chief Information Officer of Infrastructure on new policies and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer technology or related field
Minimum of six years of experience performing network and server administration functions to include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading server hardware and networking equipment
Network + certification or equivalent required
