Machine Operator

Responsibilities
Direct responsibility for the day-to-day operations of running packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
Will be required to make process changes to the production equipment
Frequently assists other operators on the equipment
Operate mobile equipment including forklift, and pallet jack, and help replenish raw materials such as corrugate, stretch wrap, caps, etc
Transact in plant warehouse management system/SAP
Perform operator care on the line
Participate in training, communicate, and follow up on what is needed for the production line to succeed
Complete all daily tasks and keep the plant audit ready at all times
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays and different shifts with advance notice
At least 6 months of experience in production and manufacturing
Basic computer skills
Preferred
Forklift experience
Experience with SAP and automated plant control systems
High school diploma/GED or a minimum of one-year equivalent work experience
