Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable Python-based applications and services
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and back-end systems using modern Python frameworks
Develop data-driven applications leveraging SQL, PySpark, and cloud-based data platforms
Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business and risk requirements into technical solutions
Integrate databases, third-party services, and Azure-native components into end-to-end workflows
Apply strong system design principles to architecture decisions and technical documentation
Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and production deployments
Qualification
Required
8+ years of professional development experience, with deep, hands-on Python expertise
Proven experience building applications from the ground up using Python and SQL
Strong experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
Solid SQL skills with experience performing complex queries and data analysis
Exposure to front-end technologies, preferably React and JavaScript
Experience working within Azure cloud environments, including interconnected services
Exposure to Azure Databricks (PySpark, notebooks, workflows, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
Strong understanding of system design, architecture rationalization, and technical communication
Experience working with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
Current, hands-on coding background (not a support, QA, or non-coding leadership role)
Preferred
Financial services experience, particularly within risk management, is highly desirable
