Responsibilities
Develop, write and edit technical documents including engineering reports, manuals, specifications, and procedures
Develop, write, edit and manage preventive maintenance procedures
Use equipment documentation to create maintenance work procedures
Collaborate with engineers, operations, and field workers to ensure procedures are accurate and efficient
Coordinate walk-throughs of new procedures to ensure they are workable
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and translate technical information into clear concise documentation
Ensure all documentation complies with company standards and regulatory requirements
Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in the development of templates and style guides to improve consistency
Conduct quality assurance checks on technical documents to maintain high standard of quality
Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery
Qualification
Required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field and 8 years' experience in technical writing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred
Ability to understand and interpret complex technical information
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements
