Payroll/HR/Benefits Manager
Beacon Hill is a staffing solutions company seeking a Payroll/HR/Benefits Manager for a contract engagement. The primary focus of this role is to oversee payroll operations while supporting the HR department with benefits work and ensuring compliance and accuracy in payroll processing.

Responsibilities
Oversee general payroll processing and help ensure accuracy and compliance
Support tax updates, deductions, and payroll-related documentation
Serve as the main contact for routine payroll questions and troubleshooting
Maintain and review timekeeping and pay information
Assist with audits and various recurring payroll reports
Contribute to improving payroll processes and routine workflows
Prepare basic payroll-related journal entries and administrative reports
Partner with HR and provide general direction to a payroll specialist
Support cross-functional initiatives and help strengthen internal processes
Participate in team projects and contribute to overall department goals
Qualification
Required
7+ years of payroll experience
Strong multi-state payroll and tax knowledge
Experience with large payroll systems, HRIS or ERP platforms
A detail-focused, solutions-driven mindset
Experience with payroll tax filings and compliance
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
A passion for accuracy, process improvement, and service
