Responsibilities
Oversee technical reviews of statutory reports and regulatory returns for compliance and accuracy
Manage annual updates to statutory and group reporting disclosures
Prepare reporting for Group and Audit Committees on technical accounting matters
Resolve technical/subjective external audit comments
Partner with teams across Finance and the business on accounting policy implementation
Support global Finance teams on technical accounting matters and non-routine transactions
Prepare technical accounting papers for internal and external use
Serve as point of contact for external auditors on technical matters
Qualification
Required
Qualified Accountant (CPA) - preferred not required
5+ years accounting experience, preferably in P&C insurance
External audit background in large public accounting firm
Experience with large insurance groups and NAIC reporting in P&C context
Strong technical knowledge of accounting concepts (specifically NAIC SSAP) in insurance
