Responsibilities
Define and own the end-to-end technology vision, roadmap, and system architecture
Design and scale a secure, cloud-native, AI-driven platform suitable for enterprise and regulated environments
Establish architectural standards for scalability, performance, reliability, and security-by-design
Oversee AI/ML strategy, data pipelines, model governance, and responsible AI practices
Partner closely with the CEO and product leadership to translate business strategy into technical execution
Lead MVP evolution through enterprise-grade productization
Ensure disciplined delivery with a focus on quality, velocity, and customer outcomes
Balance build vs. buy decisions with capital efficiency in mind
Embed security controls aligned with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
Support customer and investor due diligence by demonstrating credible security and risk posture
Partner with CISO and compliance stakeholders as the platform matures
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering organization
Establish engineering best practices, DevSecOps workflows, and performance accountability
Foster a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and execution discipline
Act as a technical spokesperson with customers, partners, and investors
Support fundraising, technical diligence, and board-level discussions
Contribute to strategic decisions as a core member of the executive leadership team
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, architecture, or platform leadership
Deep experience in cloud-native systems, distributed architectures, and modern development stacks
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and enterprise security expectations
Proven ability to build and scale products from early stage to production environments
Executive-level communication skills and business acumen
Preferred
Prior startup or founder experience
Experience in cybersecurity, GRC, AI/ML platforms, or regulated industries
Familiarity with VC-backed company dynamics and growth stages
