VP of Sales Residential HVAC

Carrier Enterprise is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc., and they are seeking an experienced senior leader for the role of Vice President of Sales. The VP of Sales will lead high-performing sales teams, drive sales growth, and develop effective sales strategies while partnering with the President to achieve financial goals.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the President and leadership team to establish the strategy, goals, and actions necessary to achieve aggressive growth targets for the business
Establish strong relationships with the customers by being visible and responsive though frequent in-person interaction
Establish clear sales metrics and benchmarks for growth, measuring progress and maintaining focus
Provide leadership to the sales organization in a manner that ensures exceptional service to all stakeholders and that produces market differentiation and competitive advantage
Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share within existing accounts and markets, while expanding into new selected industry segments
Develop and implement annual business plans and manage to monthly, quarterly and annual expense and revenue budgets
Seek continuous improvement in staff capabilities and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities
Work closely with all other departments to leverage the total capabilities of the company in creating a winning go-to-market strategy and flawless execution
Maintain current knowledge of the human capital industry, the competitive landscape and industry trends; Identify and hire top talent and employ best practices

Required

Experience in leading high-performing sales teams in the HVAC industry
Proven track record of driving sales growth with new and existing customers
Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
Experience in setting sales goals and ensuring those goals are achieved
Strong relationship-building skills with customers
Experience in managing financial performance of a company
Ability to monitor work and evaluate results to meet departmental and organizational objectives
Experience in developing and implementing annual business plans
Ability to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual expense and revenue budgets
Experience in coaching and developing staff capabilities
Knowledge of the human capital industry, competitive landscape, and industry trends
Ability to identify and hire top talent
