Responsibilities
Sets direction for major strategic opportunities across supported feature areas, championing AI-driven solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, partners, analysts, and customers
Shapes and leads a unified vision for experiences across the organization, spanning multiple product and service domains
Defines and champions transformative, enterprise-wide solutions to the most complex and high impact challenges
Provides strategic guidance to teams in framing problem statements and hypotheses across feature areas, addressing critical customer needs and significant market opportunities while navigating complex organizational interdependencies
Drives product market alignment across customer priorities, market dynamics, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure coherence with long term strategy
Orchestrates high level, cross functional collaboration to exceed customer and security requirements
You see the big picture and are not afraid to make design and business cases that shape the future
Provides expert technical guidance and drive strategic collaboration with Product Marketing, Business Planning, and Engineering to define comprehensive product release criteria, monetization strategies, product positioning, value proposition, customer acquisition, usage, and retention with wide-ranging impact across the organization
Establishes the vision and strategic direction for advancing multiple feature areas (e.g., product, service) across organizational boundaries, leading the journey from private preview to public preview, and then to general availability, with accountability for the division's long-term success
Sets the strategic direction and champions business impact, success criteria, and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs], Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] such as engagement, usage, acquisition, retention, user love/net promoter score (NPS), revenue, profitability, and in-project features) and fundamentals (e.g., quality, privacy, security, compliance, accessibility, cost of goods sold [COGS]) for specific features or service(s), including success/performance metrics that represent the security posture of products or features (e.g. percent of information being logged that is required for security investigations)
Cultivates deep trust with a diverse portfolio of customers across multiple sectors, establishing and automating strategic communication channels with highly complex and key accounts to integrate feedback and insights throughout the product development lifecycle
Shapes the strategic alignment of the product vision with customer goals, ensuring it resonates with key market demands and customer growth strategies
Champions and transform customer communities and customer engagement programs, setting a benchmark for industry standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or product development
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years experience in product/service/program management or product development OR equivalent experience
6+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework)
8+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn)
8+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product)
Experience with Microsoft Security products or equivalent
