Responsibilities

Lead Category Strategy & Execution – Own assortment, pricing, promotions, and marketing to drive growth while balancing short-term performance with long-term opportunity
Strengthen Target’s 3P Marketplace (Target Plus) – Optimize the partner ecosystem, identify white space opportunities, and deliver differentiated assortments that elevate the guest experience
Turn Insights into Action – Use KPIs, guest behavior, competitive trends, and partner analytics to shape strategies and improve conversion
Collaborate Across the Enterprise – Partner with Merchandising, Site Experience, Marketing, Product, Operations, Business Planning, and Guest Services teams to deliver a seamless and inspiring digital experience
Consult on Financial Planning – Ensure accuracy in forecasting, alignment to goals, and accountability to results for your categories
Influence & Communicate – Share strategies, updates, and performance clearly with leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners to align and drive impact

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required
8+ years of experience in merchandising, inventory management, forecasting, or product selection (including open-to-buy management)
3+ years of eCommerce experience; marketplace/3P expertise strongly preferred
Proven business acumen with a track record of building industry relationships and leveraging data analytics to inform decisions
Expertise in business planning, forecasting, and defining KPIs to drive execution of business strategy
Entrepreneurial and performance-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
Resilient and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring clarity and decisiveness in complex or changing situations
Excellent communicator with strong planning, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities

Preferred

3+ years of eCommerce experience; marketplace/3P expertise strongly preferred
