Responsibilities
Serve as the Responsible Design Engineer and Responsible Lead Engineer for assigned design changes
Providing technical oversight of design products (I&C drawings, calculations, and other documentation)
Be the primary design engineer interface between all other engineering disciplines, vendors, and stakeholders
Perform and assist in Site walk downs
Supporting SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
Support preparation of cost estimates and scoping
Qualification
Required
8+ years of related experience
Accredited bachelor's engineering degree
Technical oversight of design products (I&C drawings, calculations, and other documentation)
Primary design engineer interface between all other engineering disciplines, vendors, and stakeholders
Perform and assist in Site walk downs
Supporting SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
Support preparation of cost estimates and scoping
Solid electrical knowledge
Experience reading electrical/controls drawings
Experience with checking cables and wiring in the field
Experience with cost estimating
Managing mid size to large scale projects from the engineering deliverables perspective
Strong communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Decision making skills
Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff and/or vendors
Travel may be required for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and project related meetings
Preferred
Prior nuclear and design experience
