Responsibilities
Lead and support Quality improvement projects across manufacturing processes to reduce internal defects, supplier defects, customer quality escapes, and enhance customer satisfaction
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues
Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection instructions, and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle
Perform data analysis on quality metrics and present findings to management with actionable recommendations
Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 or other relevant standards as needed
Monitor and improve supplier quality performance through audits and corrective actions as needed
Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, tools and best practices
Travel between 3 sites within a commuting distance of 5 miles
Qualification
Required
1-2 years of Manufacturing Quality improvement experience with an Engineering degree OR 3 Plus years of experience with an associate degree from Technical Community College
Fresh graduates interested in developing a career in Quality will also be considered
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Preferred
Knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, CTQ, SPC, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto, and control charts are a plus
Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, Paint and Electrical/Mechanical Assembly processes is a plus
Proficiency in data analysis tools (MS Excel, Minitab, or similar); Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) and SharePoint is a plus
Certification (CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) is a plus
Fluent in English, additional languages like Spanish an advantage
