Responsibilities

Qualify inbound prospective customer inquiries by conducting assessments of current needs and delivering the correct value proposition to identify appropriate parties for partnership or sales
Execute and contribute to the design of partner/customer account strategies to achieve strategic business objectives and enhance customer engagement
Increase customer awareness of key contacts and GitHub's value proposition to drive purchasing decisions, while orchestrating sales or partnership pursuits with customers and partners
Participate in discussions with customers and partners to align on and determine their needs and desired outcomes for successful customer engagements
Interpret product usage reporting to inform prospecting strategies and leverage internal sales metrics to self-govern activities and achieve individual quotas
Contribute to continuous process improvements and in-flight changes by reviewing and analyzing performance for specific strategic plans and sharing best practices internally
Leverage domain and industry knowledge to develop creative and innovative solutions that improve workflow and results for Sales Business Development stakeholders
Engage with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on messaging, product updates, and customer feedback, enhancing the overall customer experience and driving sales success
Utilize CRM and sales enablement tools effectively to track customer interactions, manage sales pipelines, and optimize sales processes, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency in sales operations

Required

6+ months of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or marketing
High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or equivalent
Ability to work two days a week from the San Francisco office or the Bellevue office
