Senior Program Manager Financial Data Analytics
Bank of Hawaii is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Financial Data Analytics to direct Business Intelligence strategy for Finance. Responsibilities
Finance BI Strategy & Portfolio Leadership: Shapes and directs the BI strategy and multi‑program portfolio for Finance, establishing visualization standards, semantic modeling practices, and a modernization roadmap that spans tools, data models, and operations. Ensures solutions are scalable, controlled, and auditable, with clear KPIs and quality gates. Partners with enterprise data governance bodies to align Finance BI practices with bank-wide standards
Platform Transformation & Automation: Leads end‑to‑end transformation of Finance BI platforms, including major migrations and redevelopments, and orchestrates automation that compresses reporting cycle times. Establishes reusable shared datasets and governed data products that reduce manual effort and improve reliability for executive and regulatory reporting. Elevates Finance analytical capabilities through documentation of standards, training on self-service tools, and knowledge transfer that build long-term reporting sustainability
Regulatory‑Ready Reporting & Data Governance Alignment: Directs reporting programs that support stress testing, and monthly or quarterly Finance cycles, ensuring consistent metric definitions and strong control evidence. Partners with data stewards to standardize business rules, implement exception reporting, and remediate upstream data quality issues that impact accuracy and regulatory fitness
Executive Stakeholder Influence & External Partnerships: Serves as the senior liaison to Finance, Risk, IT, and external vendors, negotiating priorities, removing delivery blockers, and influencing enterprise decisions through clear narratives and executive‑ready insights. Defines operating standards, SLAs, and escalation paths for Finance reporting operations, partnering with IT and production support teams on high‑risk submissions
Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information systems, data analytics, finance or a related field. Equivalent work experience or certification(s) may be considered in lieu of degree
Minimum 15 years of experience in financial services analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or data management
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Expert knowledge and skill proficiency in data architecture, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting, data governance, data modeling, and regulatory reporting workflows
Advanced knowledge and skill proficiency in SQL, Power BI, dashboard design and visualization standards, and core banking data sources
Strong analytical thinker with sound judgment and the ability to turn complex financial and regulatory data into clear insights for senior leaders. Influences cross‑functional partners through strong communication and executive presence
Drives results under pressure while maintaining high standards for data quality and controls. Adaptable, ethical, and customer‑focused, with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong drive to automate, standardize, and enhance reporting and decision support
