Responsibilities
Analyze operational data, such as standard costs and work orders, to identify variances and opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements by product line and SKU
Develop financial models to support manufacturing and operational decision-making, including production strategies, budgeting, and forecasting
Provide deep financial insights on manufacturing performance, highlighting areas for improvement in materials, labor, and overhead costs
Continuously analyze manufacturing, 3PL, and freight partners to make recommendations for cost optimization
Support the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes of Operations departments
Work closely with department heads and team leads to gather input, analyze work order and standard cost variances, and provide recommendations for operational and forecasting adjustments
Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, outlining manufacturing, cost and budgetary performance and forecasts
Perform ad-hoc analyses for Operations departments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
3-5 years of cost accounting or manufacturing costs financial analysis experience
CPG manufacturing industry experience, ideally with food & beverage companies
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis of product standard costs, manufacturing processes, financial statements and projects
Microsoft Excel power user, with experience analyzing large data sets
Experience using business intelligence software to create financial dashboards and perform data analysis, proficiency in Power BI is a plus
Strong experience analyzing data from ERP systems, experience with Sage X3 is a plus
