Deputy Project Manager

Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day functions including task coordination, workload management, and quality control across multiple service areas
Monitor project schedules, track deliverables, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
Prepare and review operational reports, data metrics, and correspondence to maintain transparency and support informed decision-making
Support SOP and work instruction development, ensuring procedures are clear, accurate, and aligned with program goals
Maintain strong communication with staff and leadership, addressing questions, concerns, and performance matters promptly
Assist in risk identification, issue resolution, and process improvement initiatives to sustain operational excellence
Ensure compliance with all records management, security, privacy, and accessibility requirements
Provide courteous and professional customer interaction through phone, email, and web communications as needed
Contribute to a collaborative, results-oriented team environment focused on service quality and mission success
Serve as the primary alternate to the Project Manager, assuming full leadership authority when required to ensure uninterrupted operations
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of experience in project management or a related field
Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, track progress, and handle administrative and reporting functions
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels
Proven ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and support process improvements in a dynamic environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with advanced data tracking and documentation capability
Experience providing professional and courteous customer support via telephone, email, and web-based communications
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
U.S. Citizen; Public Trust active/eligible; on-site in Emmitsburg, MD
