The Weekend Rad Circ Coatings Eng Technician will support low-volume high-mix production by addressing factory equipment, process, materials, and product issues while ensuring quality standards are met through data-driven methods and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Support current low-volume high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to factory equipment, process, materials, and product problems

Factory production execution support includes developing and implementing well-controlled processes using data-driven methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) and writing shop process documentation

Develop and execute new product builds typically with automated equipment, often requiring creative solutions for next-generation product designs

Ensure processes developed and executed meet product quality requirements (J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, IPC, etc.)

Process improvement projects to improve factory productivity through leveraging new technologies, investigating and qualifying new materials, and more

Effective cross-functional communication of technical information

Required

Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience

Manufacturing experience with surface mount technology (SMT), microelectronics and automated assembly equipment

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred

Process development and qualification experience

Experience with J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, and IPC standards

Statistical Process Control (SPC), statistical data analysis experience, Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques

Experience with operator instructions, process and/or material qualification reports, equipment vendor statement of works, etc

Experience working in a Cleanroom

Experience with material properties or automated equipment

Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
