Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer 3

Boeing is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer 3 for a contract assignment focused on the development, analysis, and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal system requirements and designs. The role involves supporting system design, documentation updates, supplier coordination, and validation activities to ensure on-time delivery of program milestones.

Responsibilities

Support the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal system requirements to establish baseline system designs
Assist in the development, maintenance, or modification of component, system, and installation designs and proposals
Perform and document engineering analyses to validate and verify that systems and components meet functional requirements and specifications
Support integration activities with downstream engineering groups and production teams
Participate in supplier development, testing, and production support, including helping guide suppliers to meet program goals
Review, update, and standardize system and installation documentation, including drawings, design standards, and interface control documents
Conduct detailed reviews of VPIs and rewrite/clarify documentation to ensure engineering policies and procedures are current and compliant
Prepare high-quality technical reports, design summaries, test documentation, and other engineering artifacts
Provide mentorship and support to less-experienced team members as needed
Work under general direction, leveraging previous engineering experience to make sound technical decisions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
2+ years of engineering experience; candidates fresh out of college will not be considered
Experience with mechanical, fluid, or thermal systems design
Demonstrated ability to perform engineering analysis and interpret technical requirements
Strong technical writing skills, including experience creating or updating engineering documentation, procedures, or policies
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
