Responsibilities

Lead a group of 15 to 25 hourly non-exempt employees, metrology engineers, and/or level 1 managers
Manage and coordinate metrology activities across programs to ensure appropriate staffing/de-staffing actions are developed and executed
Own responsibility for program and technical performance while providing objective-oriented directions to hard lined or dotted line reporting personnel, utilizing management guidelines & general policies
Monitor and manage risk items to ensure mitigating actions are effective and timely
Promote Lean, Knowledge Management, and other process improvement initiatives as well as sharing of lessons learned and best practices throughout the organization
Manage the following: personnel performance evaluation, merit planning, employee development and training, succession planning, and utilization of EVMS to manage direct costs

Required

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related professional/military experience in manufacturing/aerospace/design/tooling/tool engineering, manufacturing engineering, integration and/or fabrication industries/experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of related professional/military experience in manufacturing/aerospace/design/tooling/tool engineering, manufacturing engineering, integration and/or fabrication industries/experience
Must have 2 years of prior management/leadership experience
Must be available to manage across shifts
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company

Preferred

STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical)
Previous Supervisory and Management experience in managing large projects, with an emphasis on metrology, machining, tool fabrication, manufacturing, assembly processes, and/or flight hardware production
Experience in managing shop schedules with dynamic priority changes
Aerospace or Aviation Industry experience managing metrology inspection, machine shops (3,4, & 5 axis), tool fabrication shops, and/or shop flow scheduling
Experience with Project Management and Microsoft Office tools
