Responsibilities
Ability to handle multi-line phone system
Ability to provide directions and information to the general public
Answer and direct incoming calls
Responds quickly and accurately to disaster and emergency situations as required, remaining calm
Performs overhead paging
Monitors all alarms located in PBX and notifies appropriate personnel as required
Accurately utilizes the features of the PBX consoles, headsets, telephones, and other related equipment
Assist with maintaining cleanliness, safety, and security of the PBX area
Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient an organizational data
Ensures release of information is consistent with all privacy policies
Serves as backup to information specialists
Provides customer service
Supports the facilities Standard of Performance and ICARE Values
Qualification
Required
Ability to handle multi-line phone system
Ability to provide directions and information to the general public

Computer skills to include keyboarding
Demonstrated experience with each of the required areas of expertise in general essential functions below
High School Graduate / GED
Preferred
One year experience involving significant information distribution to the public
Six months receptionist experience
