Warehouse Associate - Monday - Friday - 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
MSC Industrial Supply Co. is a leading North American distributor of metalworking and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) products and services. They are seeking a Warehouse Associate responsible for ensuring the orderly and timely flow of materials and products for selection and shipment in the distribution center.

Responsibilities
Count and verify items against order tickets
Inspects/examines all material/shipments for quality issues, overages or shortages and reports findings to supervisor
Participates in routing, counting and inspecting items while loading and unloading carts
Selects product and processes orders accurately as instructed manually and by computerized warehouse management operating system
Ensures that product staged and stored is placed in safe areas and at safe heights
Remains alert with regard to safety procedures and proper handling of hazardous materials, taking care to work within warehouse safety guidelines and government regulations
Actively participate in general housekeeping activities
Assists with periodic physical inventory activities
Must be able to maintain established production/performance standards for specified period of time
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
Physical demands to successfully perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities): standing, walking, lifting materials up to 75 pounds (individual or team), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, climbing using legs and arms, balancing, stooping, kneeling, repeated bends, reaching high and low, repetitive twisting or pressure involving wrist and hands, hearing, seeing (depth perception and peripheral vision), mental coordination, mental alertness for entire shift, ability to wear personal protective equipment as required, and ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet
Qualification
Required
Must be able to read and write in English
Ability to effectively communicate and follow instructions in oral and written form
Basic math skills are necessary
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time
