Field Service Specialist III

Responsibilities
As a Field Service Specialist, you will provide specialized repair and maintenance services for diagnostic imaging (radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.) and biomedical equipment, expanding on FSS I duties
Daily, you will primarily repair and maintain intermediate imaging equipment (DR, basic CT/CT Sim, oncology, Vascular/Specials), leveraging training to reduce contract dependency
You will lead within Clinical Engineering, assisting FSS with imaging equipment repair, and manage service emergencies and communications with stakeholders
Your duties also include parts ordering, Account Manager coverage, identifying new service opportunities, analyzing cost histories for expense reduction, and supporting general biomedical equipment as needed
In addition to duties of Field Service Specialist II, performs repair and maintenance on 'High Tech' imaging equipment, such as Cath Lab, MRI, Advanced CT Scanners, and PET units more than 75% of the time
Utilizes training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency for the same equipment
Employee functions as a leader in the Clinical Engineering department, providing oversight and assistance to FSS, for the efficient and cost effective repair and maintenance of imaging equipment
Effectively handles all service emergencies and necessary communications with Vendor, Department, and Clinical Engineering CE Manager
Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of Diagnostic Imaging and Biomedical equipment
Is capable of providing coverage and support for CE Manager during manager’s absence
Qualification
Required
Associates Other Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates or Equivalent experience, upon hire
A minimum of seven years' experience servicing medical imaging equipment such as General X-Ray (Rad, including but not limited to Rad Rooms, Portables and C-Arms)
Preferred
Certified Radiology Equipment Specialists, upon hire
