Jr. Control Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
Specify and size instrumentation for flow, pressure, level, and temperature applications while developing technical expertise
Read and understand basic P&IDs, develop procurement specifications and data sheets, perform vendor document reviews, and contribute to construction packages
Collaborate with engineering teams and designers, work with cross-functional technical groups, and develop relationships with vendors and clients
Track and manage work according to project requirements and company quality systems
Qualification
Required
Education: B.S. in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Control Systems Engineering
Experience: 1-5 years in oil and gas or related industry preferred
Technical Skills: Basic field instrumentation, PLC and DCS I/O systems, industrial networks
Software: Strong Microsoft Applications proficiency
Understanding of basic engineering principles and industrial equipment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with self-driven work ethic
Ability to travel to remote work sites and climb ladders/stairs
Willingness to work in heavy industrial facilities with required PPE
Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time
Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls
Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching
Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary
Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials
Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing
Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration
Ability to concentrate and maintain attention for extended periods while managing multiple priorities
Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as business needs require
Able to travel to job sites (local and/or remote) as project needs require
Able to work in heavy industrial environments while wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, fire-retardant clothing, gloves, etc.)
Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces
Able to walk on uneven terrain and surfaces
May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments during site visits
Preferred
Experience: 1-5 years in oil and gas or related industry preferred
Certifications: E.I.T. Certification preferred
