IT Professional II – Business Systems Analyst
NEOGOV is seeking qualified applicants for the position of IT Professional II – Business Systems Analyst within the Information Technology Services Unit of the Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau. The role involves providing technical support, serving as a subject matter expert for end users, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve business processes and technology systems.

Responsibilities
Providing first-class customer service to legislators, legislative staff, the LCB and, occasionally, members of the public
Serving as a SPoC for end users on behalf of the ITS Unit, ensuring clear and effective communication
Supporting the smooth operation of technology systems during public meetings
Collaborating with stakeholders and end users to gather and document business requirements
Conducting detailed analysis of business processes to identify areas for improvement
Translating business needs into functional specifications for IT systems
Working with developers, vendors and project team members to implement system changes
Ensuring system designs align with business objectives
Developing and executing test plans to ensure system functionality and performance
Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving system issues in collaboration with vendors and internal technical resources
Validating that system changes meet business requirements before deployment
Participating in project planning and management activities
Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion
Analyzing data to provide insights to end users/ITS Unit management and support decision-making within the ITS Unit/on behalf of the LCB
Conducting and participating in meetings and presentations to share analysis findings and recommendations
Providing training and support to end users on new systems and processes
Developing and generating reports to track system performance and business metrics
Using data analytics tools to identify trends and patterns
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements
Proposing and implementing changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
Assisting with other initiatives and projects within the ITS Unit as necessary; and
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license
A high school diploma/GED
At least 5 years of professional experience in information technology
At least 3 years of experience in business systems analysis, business analysis or technology project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI Professional in Business Analysis or PMP professional-level certifications may reduce the required experience by up to 2 years
Expertise in delivering exceptional customer service to end users from diverse backgrounds and skill levels
The ability to work both independently and within a team
Proven experience with managing end-user aspects of enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) such as Microsoft 365 or Google Apps for Enterprise, including, without limitation, licensing, password resets and group permissions
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and general operation of common office equipment such as scanners, multi-function copiers, telephones and printers
Experience with IT Service Management Tool (ITSM) platforms such as HaloPSA/HaloITSM, ServiceNow, N-Able, ManageEngine, Freshdesk, Ivanti Heat, ConnectWise PSA, SysAid and Team Dynamix
Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms such as NinjaOne, Atera, Pulseway, SuperOps, Syncro, N-Able and Naverisk
Experience with remote support tools such as Ninja Remote, ConnectWise Control/Screenconnect, Bomgar, Splashtop, DameWare and TeamViewer
Knowledge of automation concepts, including, without limitation, application packaging and tools such as Microsoft PowerShell, PDQ Inventory/Deploy, BatchPatch, Ninite Pro and Chocolatey
Proficiency with building and maintaining reports using reporting engines such as Crystal Reports, Bold Reports or PowerBI
Proficiency in composing SQL queries and assembling data sets for reporting engines
Expertise in gathering and analyzing requirements, workflow and processes to generate detailed documentation for cross-functional teams
The ability to lift and move medium to large items weighing up to 50 pounds, without assistance, employing proper safety techniques
