Responsibilities
Support the design of highways, arterials, local roadways, shared-use paths, and other multimodal improvements
Develop roadway, signing, pavement marking, traffic signal, drainage, and traffic control plans
Perform roadway 3D modeling using applicable design software
Prepare quantity calculations and cost estimates
Conduct site visits to support data collection and the design process
Prepare alternative evaluation studies, technical memoranda, and similar reports
Collaborate with project teams and technical specialists to support project delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (transportation focus preferred)
Entry-level experience, up to two (2) years
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or intent to pursue Professional Engineer licensure
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to travel periodically (approximately 15% or more)
Preferred
Coursework related to transportation engineering
Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D
Internship or consulting experience in transportation or roadway design
