Responsibilities
Develop front‑end application components using Angular and responsive UI frameworks
Implement backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot
Design, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs
Support GIS integrations and spatial data handling requirements
Develop test cases and implement automated testing using jUnit; optionally Jasmine and Karma
Design reporting layers using PostGIS and support PostgreSQL or other database systems
Work on cloud and DevOps components including AKS, API Management, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Docker, and Azure Data Factory
Support integrations with ArcGIS Online, WebEOC ArcGIS extensions, and related GIS tools
Use modern development tools including VS Code, Eclipse, Spring Tool Suite, and Git/Azure Repos
Implement accessibility‑compliant UI components following WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
Apply knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and mobile‑first development practices
Develop geocoding, geoprocessing services, and administer ArcGIS Enterprise/Online environments
Ensure compliance with digital accessibility, ARIA guidelines, and platform accessibility features
Collaborate with team members to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience with Angular (preferably Angular 14+), responsive UI, and Material Design
8+ years of backend development with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development
Experience with GIS integrations and spatial data handling
Experience with jUnit testing; Jasmine/Karma preferred
Experience designing PostGIS‑based reporting layers
Experience with PostgreSQL or another database management system
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure API Management, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Docker, and Azure Data Factory
Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, WebEOC extensions, and Esri Maps SDK for JavaScript
Knowledge of ArcPro/ArcObjects, GeoEvent Processor, Velocity, Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps
Experience designing/developing geocoding and geoprocessing services
Understanding of Esri ArcSDE, multi‑user versioning, state trees/branch versioning
Knowledge of linear referencing, Esri Roads and Highways, Oracle Spatial/Locator
Strong knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, accessibility standards (Section 508/ADA), WCAG 2.1 AA, and WAI‑ARIA best practices
Experience designing for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, Android and optimizing for accessibility features
Preferred
2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL
Experience incorporating accessibility tests into development workflows
Experience delivering digital products where accessibility compliance is part of the 'definition of done.'
