Responsibilities
Develop, modify, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and Assembler
Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application accuracy and reliability
Ensure smooth system operations, handling updates, enhancements, and performance tuning for batch and online processing
Collaborate with business analysts, system engineers, and cross‑functional teams to align solutions with business requirements
Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, user guides, and operational support materials
Optimize application performance by analyzing system behavior, improving efficiency, and resolving bottlenecks across mainframe environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
8–10 years of hands‑on experience in mainframe application development and system maintenance
Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, batch/online processing, and SDLC methodologies
Proven experience in debugging, performance tuning, and developing mainframe applications aligned with business and system requirements
