Seasonal Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation)
The National Park Service is seeking a Seasonal Administrative Support Assistant to work in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. The role involves maintaining office records, using computers for data collection, and scheduling programs for staff.

Responsibilities
Maintains office records and filing
Uses computers and appropriate software for data collection, analysis, and collating
Prepares reports, forms, and tabular material, providing proper spacing, heading, and arrangement for ease of understanding and informational processing
Receives and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail for delivery
Scheduling programs for other staff including emailing with teachers and others
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship required
Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication
Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males
Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program
You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required
You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record
You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you
You may be required to complete training and operate a four-wheel drive vehicle
You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards
You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Applicants must be at least 18 years old
This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute
Special knowledge or expertise concerning the park's or preserve's natural and/or cultural resources and the management thereof is required
To be eligible your resume must clearly show periods of time having lived or worked in or near the area of consideration
Ability to type 40 words per minute
Skill in the operation of computers
Knowledge of Microsoft software programs, including Word, Excel, and Teams
Knowledge of correspondence procedures, including letters, forms, and reports; include examples
Knowledge of office filing procedures, including handling of confidential information
Ability to organize office files and records
Ability to manage a variety of tasks with multiple interruptions
