Director of Reentry Programs
Inner-City Muslim Action Network is looking for a Director of Green Reentry Programs who will provide strategic leadership and vision for GRE reentry and non-reentry initiatives. This senior role oversees program operations, staff management, budgeting, compliance, and partnerships, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.

Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of reentry and non-reentry staff
Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate staff performance in collaboration with senior leadership
Foster a high-performance, mission-driven culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Lead the strategic direction, growth priorities, and long-term vision of the GRE department in alignment with organizational goals
Develop, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve reentry programs and related initiatives
Ensure program outcome goals are met or exceeded and that evidence-based best practices are implemented across all program areas
Oversee program planning, project development, and day-to-day program management
Ensure full compliance with grant requirements, budgets, contracts, project timelines, personnel obligations, and reporting standards
Manage department-wide data systems, documentation, reporting structures, and performance dashboards to ensure accurate tracking of outcomes, compliance, and continuous quality improvement
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the department
Lead funding development efforts, including grant prospecting and writing, individual donor engagement, sponsorships, and campaigns
Develop, manage, and reconcile annual department budgets in coordination with Finance and Development teams
Assist with budget forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting
Serve as the primary ambassador and representative of GRE with funders, employers, partners, community stakeholders, and external agencies
Lead cross-department coordination to integrate workforce development, housing, behavioral health, legal, arts & culture, and organizing services into a cohesive participant experience
Maintain partnership with City Colleges of Chicago for off-site workforce development training
Manage special projects related to program facilities, including contractor and subcontractor coordination, contract negotiation, schedule tracking, and issue resolution
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal staff to ensure timely and successful project completion
Oversee project documentation, submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and site readiness through ribbon-cutting
Facilitate regular progress meetings and ensure project milestones are met
Serve as the NCCER Sponsor Representative
Ensure NCCER accreditation is maintained through full compliance with all requirements
Participate as a senior leadership contributor in organizational planning, policy development, and executive decision-making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business, or equivalent 10 years of business operations experience
Minimum 10 years managing large, multi-faceted departments
Minimum 3 years of directorship experience
Deep understanding of nonprofit operations, compliance, and mission-driven program management
Proven ability to drive change and implement short- and long-term strategies
Skilled in analyzing program metrics, evaluating outcomes, and using data to drive continuous improvement
Strong presentation, negotiation, influence, and conflict-resolution skills
Availability to work weekends and respond on-call as needed
Preferred
Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams in complex organizations
Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating reentry, workforce development, or social services programs
Proven success securing funding through grants, individual donors, sponsorships, and campaigns
Experience working with justice-involved populations and/or in housing programs
