Responsibilities
Design, develop, optimize, and execute on-cell binding assays (e.g., flow cytometry, imaging-based, receptor internalization, competition formats) to evaluate antibody binding to native target conformations
Establish and run functional assays relevant to mechanism of action, including but not limited to: receptor signaling, internalization assays, blocking/competition assays, reporter-based pathway activation assays
Adapt assays for medium to high-throughput screening of large antibody panels, including primary screening and secondary confirmation formats
Transfer and scale assays from development to routine screening, ensuring robustness, reproducibility, and suitability for automation
Execute high-throughput antibody screening campaigns, including assay setup, sample handling, data acquisition, and preliminary analysis
Perform routine mammalian cell culture, including maintenance, expansion, cryopreservation, and quality control of multiple adherent and suspension cell lines
Maintain meticulous experimental records and effectively communicate findings in internal meetings
Qualification
Required
B.S in Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related life science field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 3+ years of relevant experience in antibody discovery, cell biology, or assay development
Hands-on experience with cell-based binding assays (e.g., flow cytometry, imaging, ligand-receptor interaction assays)
Demonstrated experience developing and running functional assays for biologics (signaling, internalization, blocking, effector function, reporter assays)
Strong organizational and time management skills to contribute to multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred
Familiarity with high-throughput screening environments and automated liquid handling is a plus
