Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required by site protocols
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management
Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrols
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical situations
Perform assigned duties in accordance with established procedures and standards specific to government locations
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
At least one year of security-related experience is required
An armed guard card or license is required
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
