Responsibilities
Contribute to projects involving the application of statistical sampling such as: Investigating improper Medicare and Medicaid billing, Estimating fund recoupment associated with auditing programs, Predicting improper billing for audit optimization
Summarize and analyze claims data as well as perform hypothesis testing
Perform data extractions and data cleaning
Produce analytic reports on statistical issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and 2 years of experience performing quantitative analysis, overseeing day-to-day management of project tasks, and preparing presentations and reports for clients or a Master's degree from an accredited college/university
Experience performing qualitative or quantitative analysis
Proven ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience with preparing presentations and reports
Proven solid oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated aptitude for interpreting data outputs and articulating findings
Experience using software for data analysis, such as Snowflake, Snowsight, SQL, Python, or R
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Demonstrated solid interest in healthcare or public policy
Preferred
Experience with data analyses, such as hypothesis testing, regression modeling, and data visualization
Experience working with large datasets
Experience working effectively as a member of a project team
Demonstrated familiarity with medical claims data and/or medical auditing data
Healthcare or human services research experience
