Reverse Mortgage Closing Manager

Responsibilities
Oversee all Reverse Closing / Funding managerial duties, including HECM loan doc draw, ensuring state / Federal / HUD regulatory compliance requirements are met, fees are accurately disclosed and all loans are funded timely and compliantly
Maintain Closing/Funding daily/weekly/monthly pipeline oversight, balance closer / funder workload, draw docs on HECM loans as necessary, conduct closing/funding functions as necessary to achieve monthly forecasted funding goals
Plan, coordinate, direct, review and supervise work of subordinates in the Closing/Funding of mortgage loans
Mentor, coach and manage employee termination process as warranted
Manager employee timecards and overtime
Maintain high degree of manufacturing quality and assist Post Closing with any escalations for document corrections, and/or HUD insuring / investor purchasing requirements
As Ops Support, identify gaps and solutions for process / training / knowledge gaps, create job aids and training materials and facilitate training for various operational roles including processing, closing, and funding
Partner with various Operational departments to ensure best practices and act as a reference for questions pertaining to Reverse process, product, and guidelines
Assist Processing and Closing Departments with remaining compliant with regulatory requirements including but not limited to RESPA, HMDA, Reg B, ECOA, ATR, etc
Actively ensures compliance with all applicable laws, policies and procedures related to mortgage lending and participates in any required training
Ensure the integrity of loan data entered by Closing / Funding and maintained in Quantum Reverse and Encompass LOS systems throughout the closing/funding process
Work closely with varying levels of management both internally and externally
Assist Reverse leadership with various growth initiatives and project deemed necessary based on experience and expertise
Promote and sustain exceptional customer satisfaction and experience within the Reverse Ops / Closing team
Spearhead effective communication and team building atmosphere within all departments of Guaranteed Rate
Manage the reverse closing/funding pipeline; being cognizant of service levels, quality, compliance and daily expectations
Ensure all doc draws, loan closing and funding is conducted with highest quality and in a timely manner
Provide coaching and mentor-ship to direct reports
Provide training to Processing Team as Ops Support Leader to mitigate knowledge and process gaps
Oversee time management of direct reports
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Ability to multi-task in other areas of the units
Qualification
Required
Five or more years' experience in a management role with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to the HUD / Reverse mortgage, RESPA, HMDA, Reg B, ECOA, ATR, etc
Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective communicator; must be able to work well with direct reports and all levels of Sales, Ops, and UW teammates and leadership, as well as external partners
Strong acumen in customer service within the lending industry
Time Management skills and the ability to prioritize workload based on personal and team production
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Strong pipeline management skills; must be able to manage pipeline to achieve set goals, objectives, and responsibilities
