Fiscal and Program Support Assistant (Part - Time)
James Madison University (JMU) is a vibrant community committed to supporting students through various initiatives. They are seeking a part-time Fiscal and Program Support Assistant to provide essential financial, purchasing, and administrative assistance for two TRIO grants.

Responsibilities
Provide fiscal and administrative support for two TRIO grants, including monitoring budgets, tracking expenditures, and monthly account reconciliations
Process purchasing, vendor payments, and reimbursements in accordance with JMU, state, and federal TRIO grant regulations
Departmental purchasing and travel: complete departmental purchasing and maintain related records. Coordinate and process travel authorizations, reservations, and reimbursements
Maintain complete and accurate financial and administrative records, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with grant and audit requirements
Assist TRIO leadership with reporting, data tracking, and routine administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence
Communicate effectively with campus partners (e.g., Finance, Sponsored Programs, Procurement) to support efficient grant and program operations
Perform other duties as assigned in support of unit goals and objectives
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of MS Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
Familiarity with/or ability to learn PeopleSoft's System Administration module
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to learn and follow policies and procedures
Experience with bookkeeping, meeting auditing standards, budgeting
