Responsibilities
Act as the central point of contact between 4+ external penetration testing vendors and internal stakeholders. Arrange scoping calls, facilitate introductions, and manage the flow of communication to ensure clarity on deliverables
Manage the queue of penetration tests based on JIRA tickets and stakeholder requests. Ensure all parties understand delivery dates for reports and products
Serve as the 'referee' to ensure timelines are strictly followed. Proactively identify and escalate issues such as delays or potential vendor fees to leadership
Maintain a project dashboard (tracking basic metrics like tests completed vs. tests remaining) and provide timely operational status updates to team management
Notify the Security Operations Center (SOC) via email regarding the start and finish of testing activities. Distribute After Action Review (AAR) reports to stakeholders and facilitate follow-up meetings if technical questions arise
Maintain compliance documentation aligned with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DORA, and TIBER frameworks
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of project management or coordination experience
Proficiency with collaboration tools is required, specifically JIRA and Confluence
Elite Communication: Must be able to 'read the room,' interpret tone, and manage expectations across different levels of the organization (from technical testers to executives)
Logical Organization: Ability to 'manage multiple households' concurrently—running multiple short-term projects without letting details slip
Operational Focus: Enables technical operators to focus on 'offense' (testing) by handling the administrative and scheduling burden
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred. Open to recent graduates who demonstrate high energy, superior organization, and the ability to manage stress
PMP (Project Management Professional): Highly desired/Nice-to-have
Agile/Scrum: Certifications or exposure are a plus
Familiarity with cybersecurity terminology (Penetration Testing, Red Teaming) is a strong plus but not a hard requirement
Experience in the Financial industry is helpful but not required
Background as a Technical Project Manager is a plus
