Responsibilities

Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately according to repair orders, dealership procedures, and factory standards
Diagnose vehicle issues based on customer concerns, inspections, and test results
Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components
Save, tag, and document parts as required for warranty or customer requests
Inspect vehicles to identify additional safety or service needs and make appropriate recommendations
Communicate promptly with service advisors regarding additional repairs, delays, or changes in scope
Accurately document all completed and recommended work on repair orders
Road test vehicles to verify repair quality and performance
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay current with technical bulletins
Inspect and test-drive newly delivered vehicles for damage, missing components, or drivability issues
Install optional equipment as requested by customers or the dealership
Report equipment defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to management immediately
Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and promptly report any changes in condition
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Maintain accountability for dealership tools, equipment, and manuals
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and hazardous waste disposal requirements
Operate tools and equipment safely at all times

Required

Automotive technician experience preferred
Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred)
