Responsibilities
Efficiently operate a variety of material handling and packaging equipment
Accurately identify parts, components, wires, and other materials using part markings, color codes, and container labels
Follow desktop instructions, parts lists, forms, and other work instructions to complete tasks precisely
Perform bulk counting using scales and tape & reel counters
Fulfill orders according to Bill of Material (BOM) requirements
Package parts appropriately to prevent damage, adhering to proper material handling and packaging techniques
Store, shelve, and place inventory correctly following established procedures
Utilize computer systems and printers for recording inventory transactions, generating labels, and labor charging
Conduct cycle counts and meticulously record results
Track materials both physically and within systems
Package and ship materials following specific shipping instructions
Distribute materials to various internal plant locations
Build and break down boxes for various uses
Collect and dispose of materials correctly
Maintain adequate levels of packaging supplies and replenish as needed
Recognize and address inventory discrepancies and work area issues promptly
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including cycle counts and labor charging
Train other employees and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
