Responsibilities
Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, safety testing and repair of a diverse range of clinical equipment, typically non-life support
Schedules PMs and informs the head of department in a timely fashion
Documents entire procedure including follow-up on "delinquent devices" on a monthly basis
Completes assignments monthly
Performs safety inspections per HMH CT’s PMP procedures
Based on the results of the test, makes the immediate necessary corrections
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or vocational training in electronics, biomedical equipment technology or a related field
Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting
PM completion rate achieves 100% for life support equipment
Schedules PMs and informs the head of department in a timely fashion
Documents entire procedure including follow-up on 'delinquent devices' on a monthly basis
Completes assignments monthly
Performs safety inspections per HMH CT's PMP procedures
Based on the results of the test, makes the immediate necessary corrections
Preferred
One year experience as a biomedical equipment technician in a healthcare setting
Current Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification

Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
