10+ years expPwrQ is seeking a Vice President of Quality to lead their enterprise-wide quality strategy and oversee all aspects of product, process, supplier, and field service quality. The role involves ensuring robust Quality Management Systems, driving defect reduction, and leading quality performance through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with ISO 9001:2015
Serve as Management Representative for ISO certification and audits
Present enterprise quality performance to Executive Team/CEO
Oversee enterprise quality governance, policy, standards, and accountability
Review Quality Dashboard (FPY, scrap, customer issues, supplier issues)
Attend Tier 3 meetings and escalate barriers
Monitor critical customer and supplier escalations
Conduct Gemba walks – focus on containment and escape points
Approve customer communication and containment
Align with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing VPs on risks
Oversee safety- or compliance-related critical quality issues
Lead Quality Leadership Meeting
Review major 8D progress for top customer issues
Review warranty and field trends
Review supplier performance trends and strategic risks
Review lessons learned deployment
Verify alignment on Quality Roadmap priorities
Attend Weekly Ops Review
Attend Forgent Quality Council and Hanover Monthly Ops Review
Review PFMEA/DFMEA and quality risk registers
Approve QMS revisions, policies, and training
Conduct LPA on high‑risk processes
Review supplier scorecards
Review QMS maturity and audit status
Evaluate resource and capability needs across quality teams
Oversee manufacturing quality, inspection processes, and defect prevention
Lead improvements in FPY, scrap, rework, capability, and defect rates
Ensure robust field service quality standards and verification
Drive VOC programs, complaint management, and root-cause elimination
Oversee supplier qualification, audits, corrective actions, and development
Monitor supplier performance through scorecards, PPM, and Supplier Quality Index
Partner with Supply Chain leadership on strategic risks and performance improvement
Maintain ISO 9001:2015–compliant Quality Management System
Lead internal audits, management reviews, and certification readiness
Ensure timely closure of NCs, corrective actions, and audit findings
Improve QMS maturity and organizational discipline
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
10–15+ years of progressive quality leadership in ISO 9001:2015 environments
5 years in a leadership role within electrical manufacturing industry
Proven ability to lead cross-functional improvement and deliver measurable results
Strong executive communication and influence skills
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
