Subrogation Claims Specialist

Commonwealth Casualty Company is seeking an experienced Subrogation Claims Specialist to manage end-to-end recovery on multi-competitor property damage claims. The role involves investigating, evaluating, and negotiating subrogation and arbitration claims while ensuring compliance with state requirements and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage subrogation and arbitration claims for personal auto property damage; coverage validation, liability evaluation, demand preparation, negotiation, and recovery
Engage with customers and carriers to process multi-compete (i.e.: excess, pro-rata, etc.) property damage claims accordingly
Collaborate with front-line claims and leadership to ensure smooth handoffs, timely responses, and avoidance of arbitration/litigation where feasible (aligned with internal mail/diary handling practices)
Engage tort carriers to pursue recovery, arbitrate when appropriate, and document every step with clear, defensible file notes and evidence
Maintain compliance across TX, AZ, OH & all state requirements; apply company policies and procedures throughout the claim lifecycle
Track KPIs (cycle time, recovery rate, reserve accuracy) and proactively communicate status, risks, and next steps to stakeholders

Required

Active Texas Adjuster License
3–5 years of dedicated subrogation and arbitration experience (personal auto)
5+ years of overall claims handling experience
Deep knowledge of property damage evaluation, comparative negligence, customer service and carrier to carrier negotiations
Strong written/oral communication; confident negotiator with structured file documentation
Comfort operating in a fast‑paced environment with clear policies and auditability requirements
Familiarity with E-Hub/ArbForums platform and Microsoft Applications
