Director, IKC Operations

DaVita Kidney Care is seeking a visionary leader to architect and implement end-of-life care and palliative care strategies at scale across their national operations. The Director of Palliative Care will design how frontline staff and care teams ensure patients with kidney disease receive appropriate end-of-life care, focusing on leveraging the Supportive Care team for high-complexity patients.

Required

Education: Master's degree in healthcare-related field (MD, NP, PA, MSW, nursing, public health, healthcare administration) required
Experience: 7-10+ years progressive leadership experience in palliative care or end-of-life care, with demonstrated success building and scaling clinical programs
Clinical Expertise: Deep knowledge of palliative care principles, serious illness communication, and end-of-life care; nephrology/kidney disease experience highly preferred
Operational Excellence: Proven track record in operations management, including experience working in matrix organizations and managing cross-functional initiatives at scale
Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to design programs from the ground up, develop implementation roadmaps, and scale interventions across large organizations
Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to identify opportunities, measure impact, and drive decision-making
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional relationship-building skills; ability to influence without direct authority and partner effectively across all organizational levels
Change Management: Experience leading organizational change initiatives, navigating resistance, and building buy-in across diverse stakeholder groups
Financial Acumen: Understanding of healthcare economics, value-based care models, and ability to articulate business case for palliative care investments
