Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems for human spaceflight. The Fluids Tubing Structural Analyst will utilize their technical expertise to analyze fluid system hardware and support the development of sustainable lunar infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Analysis from concept to drawing release of fluid system hardware
Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
Strength checks and analysis report generation
Test and verification plan and report generation
Support configuration development and trade studies
Process and tool development

Qualification

Mechanical EngineeringStructural AnalysisFinite Element ModelingFEM SoftwareCryogenic SystemsPiping Stress AnalysisProgramming LanguagesSoft Skills

Required

Minimum of B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering
10+ years structural analysis experience in aerospace, Nuclear, or Process piping structural analysis
Passion for structural analysis of spacecraft
Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods, such as hand calcs, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools
Experience with any of the following FEM software (Nastran, Optistruct, ANSYS)

Preferred

Experience with Cryogenic systems
Experience with piping stress and flexibility analysis
Experience with bellows analysis
Experience with bolted flange analysis
Experience with weld analysis
Experience with manufacturing methods, material selection, testing and characterizing of tubing
Experience with any of the following piping analysis software (Autopipe, Ceasar, or CAEPIPE)
Experience with any of the following programing languages (VBA, Python)
Experience with Reengineering Wildfire 4 / CREO Parametric of greater
