Motor Vehicle Compliance Analyst 4

Responsibilities
Interprets, applies, and enforces all motor vehicle laws, rules, and regulations
Responsible for compiling statistics for daily, weekly and monthly reports of productions, inventories, sales of inspection stickers, and Risk Management reports. These reports are submitted to the Motor Vehicle Region Manager/Field. Responsible for the daily deposits of all funds collected, verifying the accuracy of supporting reports and the physical bank deposit
Maintains a thorough knowledge of driver's license (commercial and private) laws pertaining to eligibility and issuance of such licenses
Responsible for maintaining all office equipment and vehicles owned by the Office of Motor Vehicles. Additionally, this position is required to be in compliance at all times with the guidelines of maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Maintains good public relations with the general public, public officials, lending institutions, auto dealers, notaries, Public Tag Agents, etc., in order to provide efficient and effective service. Incumbent is responsible for promoting a positive image as a representative of the Office of Motor Vehicles/Field
Serves as regulatory consultant over statewide driving schools and their operational staff. Assists by providing interpretation of laws, rules, policies, and procedures and guidance of administering the driver education program
Qualification
Required
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent plus three years of experience or training in any field
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience
May be required to possess a current Louisiana driver's license at the time of appointment
