Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive product training programs for internal teams, dealer networks, and external partners
Determine appropriate instructional methods, training formats, and delivery approaches based on product complexity and audience needs
Conduct in-person product training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations at company facilities, dealer locations, and industry events
Serve as a subject matter expert on product features, benefits, applications, installation processes, and competitive differentiation
Plan, script, record, and produce professional-quality digital training content, including: Product overviews and feature demonstrations, Installation and setup guides, Troubleshooting and best-practice instruction
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all training content is technically accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand standards
Maintain and update digital training content as products evolve or new models are introduced
Create, write, and maintain clear, detailed training documentation, including: Installation manuals and technical guides, Product training materials and reference documents, Quick-start guides and job aids
Apply specialized product and manufacturing knowledge to ensure documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and effective
Manage updates, revisions, and version control for all training materials
Partner closely with the Director of Product Management to align training initiatives with product strategy and launch timelines
Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop deep product knowledge and accurate training content
Support Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing teams by addressing training gaps and incorporating field feedback into training programs
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve content, delivery methods, and materials
Gather feedback from trainees, dealers, and internal stakeholders to refine training approaches
Stay current on industry trends, competitive products, and best practices in product training and instructional design

Required

Bachelor's degree in education, Communications, Technical Writing, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
3+ years of experience in product training, technical training, instructional design, or related roles—preferably within manufacturing or durable goods
Demonstrated experience developing original training content, including digital video-based training and written technical documentation
Strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear, effective training materials
Hands-on aptitude and comfort working directly with physical products and installation processes
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Proficiency with common digital tools, including video creation/editing, presentation software, and documentation platforms

Preferred

Experience in automotive aftermarket, truck accessories, commercial vehicle equipment, RV, marine, or related industries
Familiarity with fiberglass, aluminum fabrication, or mechanical assemblies
Experience supporting dealer, distributor, or partner training programs
Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) or digital training platforms
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, or engineering documentation
