Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the operational strategy for CRA’s Communities event portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and brand standards
Lead the event operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
Partner closely with executive leadership, sales, marketing, and editorial teams to translate strategic goals into flawless event execution
Own end-to-end logistics for all CRA events—venue selection, vendor negotiations, contract management, registration, A/V production, catering, and onsite execution
Implement scalable systems and processes for event planning, budgeting, and post-event analysis
Drive efficiency across workflows, ensuring high-quality delivery within timelines and budgets
Oversee hybrid and virtual event operations, optimizing technology platforms and engagement tools
Develop and manage multimillion-dollar event budgets
Forecast and track event costs, ensuring ROI and profitability targets are met
Negotiate vendor and supplier contracts to optimize cost efficiency and service quality
Mentor and guide event managers, coordinators, and production partners
Collaborate with marketing on audience acquisition strategies and creative execution
Partner with sales to deliver sponsor commitments and activation excellence

Required

8+ years of progressive experience in event operations or production, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record managing complex, multi-location, and high-profile B2B events
Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor relationship management abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Exceptional organizational, project, and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner
Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% annually for onsite event management

Preferred

Deep understanding of hybrid/virtual event technologies is a plus
