Lead mechanical and opto-mechanical design of high-power fiber laser amplifiers, ensuring performance, SWaP, reliability, environmental, and cost requirements are met
Perform engineering analyses and testing while supporting prototype/production builds, verification, qualification, and system level integration
Collaborate cross-functionally on system layouts and requirements; create manufacturable designs, and support tooling, fixture, procurement, assembly and test activities
Qualification
Required
7+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Experience in precision mechanical and opto-mechanical design
Familiarity with manufacturing methods including machining, sheet metal, and injection molding
