They are seeking a Senior Development Manager to help lead projects from concept through stabilization while managing all facets of the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Manage development projects from inception through stabilization
Work directly with land sellers and brokers throughout acquisition and negotiation
Lead and manage the due diligence process, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated prior to closing
Coordinate with governmental agencies and municipalities through entitlements, zoning, and approvals
Oversee consultants (civil, architectural, engineering, legal, etc.) through design development
Manage project schedules, budgets, and development milestones
Facilitate and oversee land and capital closings in coordination with internal and external partners
Evaluate projects holistically, maintaining an owner’s perspective on risk, return, and execution
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal leadership, partners, consultants, and public entities
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in multifamily development or a closely related role
Proven experience managing projects from land acquisition through stabilization
Strong understanding of due diligence, entitlements, design development, and closing processes
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple active projects
Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and persistent
Passion for executing projects the right way, not just the fastest way
Dynamic verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
Willingness to travel as needed to Midwest project sites and municipalities
