Responsibilities
Procurement Planning: Analyze sales pipelines and production schedules to determine exact raw part requirements and ensure material availability
End-to-End Sourcing: Own the sourcing of components, subassemblies, and materials across multiple vendors and contract manufacturers
Inventory Visibility: Maintain accurate inventory records and demand forecasts across prototypes, production units, spares, and fielded systems
Logistics Coordination: Manage domestic and international logistics, including freight forwarders, customs documentation, and warehousing
Supplier Performance: Monitor cost, quality, and delivery; proactively identify and mitigate supply risks
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or logistics roles
Strong background in the 'buying' and sourcing side of manufacturing; expert at navigating procurement planning based on production schedules
Experience managing suppliers and contract manufacturers in a hardware environment
Strong understanding of demand forecasting and purchase order management
Hands-on experience coordinating domestic and international shipments
Excellent communication skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset; able to provide clear feedback to internal teams
Preferred
Ability to build scalable processes from the ground up in a fast-moving environment
Familiarity with electronics components, mechanical parts, or system-level BOMs
Experience supporting production ramp-ups and new product introductions (NPI)
Knowledge of customs, import/export compliance, or working with freight forwarders
