Field Experience Coordinator/Lecturer- Dept of Counseling

Responsibilities

Manage the Department of Counseling’s field experience processes
Support and advise students in their practicum and internship preparation and subsequent licensure experiences
Develop and maintain partnerships and agreements with counseling agencies, k-12 schools, and other site placements
Assist and advise students with field placement
Manage data related to field experience including licensure paperwork
Ensure legal and ethical compliance with field placement partnerships and student clinical work
Organize community engagement and outreach related to field sites including coordinating trainings and other events
Maintain CACREP accreditation compliance for field experience processes and documentation
Manage all licensure components within the Department of Counseling

Qualification

Master's degree in counselingFull counseling licensureClinical work experienceAdministrative skillsExperience managing field experiencesDoctoral degree in counselingNational Certified CounselorCertified Rehabilitation CounselorApproved Clinical Supervisor Certification

Required

Master's degree in professional counseling from a CACREP accredited program with clinical work experience in an area of professional counseling is required
Strong administrative skills are also required
Full counseling licensure is required

Preferred

The preferred candidate would have a doctoral degree from a CACREP-accredited counseling program and full counseling licensure
Experience managing clinical field experiences is preferred, including both clinical and administrative aspects
Clinical Mental Health Counseling licensure in NC is preferred
Certification as a National Certified Counselor or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor Certification is also preferred
